i'm sure this has been a topic a lot of times, but i'm wondering now. what do you guys use to capture audio with your films. i've heard people using mini-disks and things like that.. any other suggestions?

I haven't shot film in awhile so I've never used an MD or DAT.When they made mag striped film I just always shot that in 16mm or super 8.I once had a shoot back in the early 80's where the client needed a 16mm optical track film but didn't want the expense of making prints and such.We shot with Auricon cameras and recorded sound on an optical track with the old style amplifiers.
Anything else where I needed a double system shoot,I used either an old Nagra III or 4.2 or Uher 4000 Report.
